Gemini

Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Oh, Christmas was so great. There’s so much to say, I can’t even start!

First there was the Bonavista Christmas Banquet, and it was great fun because I got to hang out with Sammy and I also met Christine Konyk, who is really nice! They had a chocolate fountain there, too, for fondue! It was like heaven…

Next was the Gemini Christmas dinner. It was good, too, because we got to go to the Verve downtown and order anything we wanted! Sweet!

We opened all our presents on Christmas eve again, since we were going to Lethbridge in the morning. I got lots of great things, but namely a Ravenclaw scarf and the Narnia soundtrack! (Wow… such a nerd…) Anyways, Lethbride was fun times. We went to Derek & Yolayne’s place for dinner, which was sooo good. And I can actually say I consumed more alcohol there than I had previously in my whole life, which is kind of funny since it was my uncle who kept giving it to me! (And really, it was two shots and a Caesar. Truly not a heavy night, heh!)

We went Boxing Day shopping the next day. When Mike and I were in the arcade, this kid challenged Mike to a game of DDR and, let me tell you, it was epic… an epic defeat for the other boy! I pretty much had a tear of pride in my eye, seeing my little brother properly pWn him!

We came back home on Tuesday, and that evening I went out to the Loeppkey’s acreage with Cailee to see Angie, since she was house-sitting. She and Jared taught us how to play Texas Hold’em Poker and I came in third place, yay!

Then the next day I went to New York, New York (the piano bar) with a huuuge group of pals— Kim & Eric, Matt & Cassie, Alex, Mark, Flo, Aman, Crystal, Evelyn and Kelvin. The strange thing was that we were the only ones in the restaurant. But I had fun anyways! After that we went to Banana Jak’s, where I had the best coffee I’ve ever had: almond coffee! It was so good I almost cried.

Well, that was my sweet Christmas break. Wish I could do it over again, because I have to go back to work tomorrow, aww.
